I just started knitting on Sunday night and for the past few days I have been practicing how to cast on, regular knitting, purl knitting and binding off. I’m 26 weeks pregnant and I want to make a baby blanket for my baby girl. Right now I have 10″ needles and two 7oz worsted medium yarn, I also have two little balls of yarn to practice with. Want to find a website or somebody to tell me how to make a very easy blanket.
Are there any sites where I can request that someone craft crochet/amigurumi “plushies” and then pay for the finished product? I have absolutely no sewing talent, otherwise I’d make them myself.
Thanks for all your help guys.
I’m a little new to knitting, I’ve been doing it for years but I’ve never made anything, I’d knit half a blanket and then unravel it and start over. This time I want to make a blanket..
Does anyone have any patterns? I want it to look beautiful, yet simple.
I can only knit stitch and purl stitch. I want it to be a regular sized blanket, not a baby blanket.
Honestly I just started knitting and I even have trouble understanding the Purl stitch. The videos I watch and instructions just do not make sense to me. I can cast on/off and knit, basically. I really want my own drop stitch scarf though
i get very confused with the shorts they use in knitting patterns can you help me decifer this one
HAT For straight needles
Cast on 80 sts. Work in K1, P1 or K2, P2 ribbing for 1 1/2-2″.
Begin St st (k on RS, p on WS) until total length is 8″.
Crown decreases
Row 1 K 6, k2tog across row – 70 stitches.
Next Row and all even rows Purl.
Row 3 K 5, k2tog across row – 60 stitches.
Row 5 K 4, k2tog across row – 50 stitches.
Row 7 K 3, k2tog across row – 40 stitches.
Row 9 K 2, k2tog across row – 30 stitches.
Row 11 K 1, k2tog across row – 20 stitches.
Row 13 K2tog across row – 10 stitches.
Cut yarn leaving long tail. Weave tail through remaining stitches and pull tightly. Sew seam.
I just started knitting a few weeks ago, and I think I’m ready to start my first project. I’ve got the hang of the knit stitch, but I’m a little shaky on my purl.
I’m looking for something in the way of arm warmers or a hat. Anything else is fine though.
Also, I’m having a little trouble reading patterns. All the abbreviations confuse me, so if you could explain the abbreviations used I’d be really grateful.
Thank you!

I have a pattern for a doll poncho and it calls for size 3 dpns with baby weight yarn. The poncho pattern has a 2 inch collar and sort of a V-neck then is joined together to form a poncho. After I knit the collar I am suppose to separate the 60 stitches onto 4 dpns (15 stitches to each needle). I knit increases on 1st and last stitch on each needle, purl across and repeat the above steps 3X until I have 92 stitches. Then I join and knit around. You can find this pattern here since I may not be explaining this very well.

It looked easy to do but I am a novice and have never knit on dpns before. I’m sure this is not a good project to learn on but I’m detertermined. How do you knit on dpns without joining the ends? I can’t find any information on how to do this.
I was wondering if I should not use dpns and use a circular needle when it is time to join the ends? What length circular would I need with 92 stitches?

It’s at that URL. I’ve really never done anything other than knit or purl and have never done a cable before. Are there some basic things I should practice before trying to knit this pattern?
Thank you for your help!
I’m knitting gloves and a ski cap for my aunt and I wanted to know if someone had a good pattern for either or. I’d like something leaning more towards the beginner side, but I know neither pattern can be completly easy but just something. Oh! and i’d like something with pictures.
The book says Row 1: K4, (P4, K4) twice
So what does that mean? I knit 4 times, then Purl four times, then knit 4 again?
Thanks!
