This is what the directions say: sc × 2, 2-sc dec
I understand that I single crochet 2 times and then 2 single crochet decreases but I don’t know if I’m supposed to the 2nd decrease in the same holes as the first or seperate ones. Either way I do it it’s either not coming closer together or it’s to close together. Please help.

I’m trying to crochet some amigurumi whales,
It doesnt say double crochet just single crochet for the pattern.
But when i crochet other amigurumi dolls i see that it says
single crochet(double crochet in USA, Aus)
Do i have to double crochet in the pattern?

I’m trying to make a couple of pairs of baby booties for my brother’s baby that is due in July&can only do single crochet. I have tried double crochet but it never looks right&I don’t have the time to learn.
I have search online using google& yahoo&I have been only able to find patterns that have everything but single crochet.

I can’t figure out if they want me to crochet in the front loop, back loop, or under both loops? I am new to crochet and all the patterns I’ve used have specified front or back loops. Help!
