hi, does anyone personally know the directions or directions on a website on stitching so that the ends won’t curl inwards? that happened to the last scarf that i made and i tried ironing it to flatten it out…and it didn’t work. how do you make a completely flat scarf with very simple instructions? (while using both knit and purl stitches)
I am a beginner and I have crocheted a baby blanket using single crochet all the way through now that I am done how do I tie in my loose strands.
This is the method I use for weaving in ends. This works when you are at the end of a ball or just changing colour. My mother taught me to do this and it has served me well for over 40 years. In this video I’m using a cotton yarn and two different colours so you can see the stitches clearly. It is also difficult to knit trying to keep your hands within a small area for a camera when you don’t have a proper set up or camera man, so please excuse the awkward knitting, the purpose of this video is NOT to teach you how to knit, but how to catch the tail and change balls of yarn in the middle of a row.

Today I am weaving in ends on a knitted hat with stripes. It’s so easy and quick! For more knitting see: susanbanderson.blogspot.com
On each row I’m changing out three colors, cutting and knotting them together. Am I doing this right? There are so many ends of yarn poking out that I can barely make out the design, and where would I put them all if I have to weave them in?
i want to crochet a bag with the recycle sign on it, but i don’t know how to go about adding the different color yarn in the round. I know i could add it, and then finish the round, but then the yarn would be trailing out of the left side of the picture, and i would need it on the right. How do i fix that? Do i need to carry the yarn with me through the whole round? and if so, how do i do that?
