On this pattern on both rows after ssk and p2tog should i repeat the pattern or knit accross and purl accross?

Row 1: K 13, K2tog, K3, SSK, K across.

Row 2: P 12, P2tbl, P3, P2tog, P across.

how do you get a purl pattern on both sides of your fabric in knitting?

I’m just starting so I’m sorry if it seems like too easy of a question. I saw a baby sweater in the yearn store and it seemed to me like it had purling on both sides of the fabric. The lady was pretty busy so I didn’t ask but I was wondering how would I get that affect? Right now I can get all the Vs on one side and all the “bumps” on the other. If I wanted all bumps would I simply purl every row? Or is this affect a whole different stitch?

How do you knit/purl on both sides? ?

The scarf I’m knitting has knit and purl stitches all over on both sides and it is all messed up looking. I just want one all over. I have no idea what I’m doing wrong!
