Hi!
I would like to start knitting and crocheting and would like to get the best tools. What are the best materials for crochet hook and knitting needle in your opinion and WHY? Wood, metal, bamboo, plastic, anything else?
Thanks a lot.

I’m a beginner at crochet! Though I am not familiar with the sizes of hooks and weights of yarn and need assistance please!!
I am trying to make a pocket scarf with lion brand chenille yarn but I’m not sure which way to best block that type of yarn. Would it be the spray, wet blocking, or steam?
What yarns (weight & fiber) are the best type of yarn to use for clothing for children (5-10), toddlers, newborns and babies in the winter? I’m trying to figure this out, I don’t want my children to be cold for the Winter. Also, what type of yarns should be used for seasons like fall and spring and/or summer? Thanks so much, I appreciate it!
I’m talkin’ STEP BY STEP and easy for DUMMIES! From havin a row of all one color…to a finished 2 to 20 color piece.
I need DETAILS DETAILS DETAILS, and ANY shortcuts possible!
I know how to knit, purl, VERY SIMPLE decrease-increase stuff, and bind-off. I also know how to cable. BUT I WANT TO DO INTARSIA STUFF!!!
I have been to knittinghelp.com since I started knitting 3 months ago. What I am looking for is a more “start to finish”, detailed video. Even a DVD would be great! (but online and FREE is ALWAYS better=) )
Hi,all I want to make an afghan crochet. But i have of no idea of the best length of the hooks. In fact, the size is below 3.5mm, but the length?

Anybody have any helpful sites or ideas for me please share

I am learning how to spin my own yarn and I want to buy a goat, sheep, or alpaca so that I can make my own yarn. I know that different animals and breeds give different products, but I don’t know which one is more user friendly for a beginner. Maybe someone can tell me about the different animals and their ‘hair’. I have a lot of experience with animals and farming, just not with spinning yarn. Thanks so much!
I am looking for very good quality, fairly cheep prices, preferably with a large selection and an availability to ship internationally. I need yarns such as wool, cotton, bamboo, soy…really anything that does not have chemicals or artificial materials. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also, any advice on good sewing companies with an Eco-friendly focus would be great.
Is any one doing any entraloc patterns in any of these?
Crochet is my favorite, [ I do entraloc patterns in single crochet and afghan stitch ], but I do like all of these.
