This is the method I use for weaving in ends. This works when you are at the end of a ball or just changing colour. My mother taught me to do this and it has served me well for over 40 years. In this video I’m using a cotton yarn and two different colours so you can see the stitches clearly. It is also difficult to knit trying to keep your hands within a small area for a camera when you don’t have a proper set up or camera man, so please excuse the awkward knitting, the purpose of this video is NOT to teach you how to knit, but how to catch the tail and change balls of yarn in the middle of a row.

Nice. – this worked pretty well for me. Unfortunately, I started weaving in with too long of a tail and there’s still some remaining to be weaved in. I guess I can’t avoid having to learn that as well.
I REALLY like this technique. I wish that I could see a closer-up version & maybe a slow-motion version. Thank you.
I love this method. There are no DOUBLE YARN stitches which I’ve done & think look tacky. One can’t quibble with 40 yrs. of success in a technique.
