My children’s dentist is an awesome knitter. When he first he retired his wife got tired of his bugging her so she made him learn to knit…lol. He then got a job as a dentist working with low income families, so his pay is not as good…although they take patients who are not low income. Anyhow, he knits presents for all of his coworkers and for the dental assistants. He is also willing to give knitting advice to parents who knit and bring in their knitting at their child’s appt.
I am starting tommorow to knit a hat as a Christmas gift and some socks for my friends and I am working already at a long straight skirt for…me. Man, I love knitting! What are you working on if you don’t mind me asking? maybe you can inspire me in working at a different project. Happy knitting!
according to wiki, “Originally a male-only occupation, the first knitting trade guild was started in Paris in 1527. Knitting became a household occupation with the growing popularity of knitted stockings and by the end of the 1600s, one to two million pairs of stockings were exported from Britain to other parts of Europe.”
y’know, it’s a lot of fun and keep you busy. surprisingly, not that many people comment that I knit… and I am a guy. ‘sides, I like the challenge and it keeps me occupied on commutes.
