How to Make a Cosplay Pikachu Beanie Hat : Secretlifeofabionerd

I was obsessed with making these hats last summer. It was one of the many first items I started selling. Surprisingly they became such a popular novelty item. I thought I would share with you guys how I made them. Remember you can switch out the ears to make it into any other animal you would like. Also, I LOVED A-KON. @88Arva Yes it can but it wont be as sturdy. Hand sewing is allot more time consuming but it’ll also give you a more fragile result.

ok. So I made my 2nd hat. Made it for my niece who is 12 yrs old and in the 6th grade. The measurements I used for the hat part are 10inch for bottom and 7inch high and 20inch for the band. My niece has a normal head by the way. The fabric shrinks after it is sown. Hope this helps for those who are serious in making this hat. The hat came out awesome. My niece went insane over it.

Just made one and it came out the size of an infant. Going to try again. This time im using a fleece beanie as a guide line. I used felt for the eyes looks good. 4″ high for the hat is way to small for a teen.
