I don’t know why you are getting too much yarn between your needles. Keep practicing and it’ll probably get better,
You might want to try sanding your wooden needles with very fine sandpaper.
great! keep at it and keep watching for more videos. thanks.
i keep getting too much yarn in between my needles, am i doing it too tight?
i love my aluminum tips but my wooden needles better, can i get better points for my wooden ones?
you are so amazing I’ve seen all of your videos! I’ve recently started knitting and I’ve bought different kinds of yarn and i go by all of your videos!
do you mean you need to add a new ball of yarn? if so, watch my video how to add a new ball of yarn.
The thread end runs out! and then i can’t knit once ive cast on cuz its too short. plz help
GOOD!
Thanks so much! I think my problem is starting out with large needles, and also tugging on the thread and trying to tighten each stitch. I got some smaller needles and am well on my way to making a scarf. I’ll attempt the bigger needles another time…
no, your second row should not get huge. you probably need to practice. relax. don’t pull the thread too tight or leave it too loose. practice makes perfect.
Thanks so much for the video Judy! Your cast on really helped me.
When you do your second row…is it normal for the stitches to come out huge? It just seems to get sloppier the more I knit, and I get frustrated and rip it out and start over. I don’t remember it being this hard in the past, but maybe cause my grandmother would do my first few rows for me.
thanks so much for your nice comment. glad to be helpful. Please keep watching.
thank you so much! xD your videos are the only ones so far that i can actually follow.. its been very helpful, especially since no one in my family knows how to knit.
mine looks kind of flat on the bottom of the needle; if thats what you mean, then youre doing it right.
is it normal for it 2 look weird? like what if it looks rite then i get done and it’s ugly and wrong?
Great! Have fun knitting.
thx i just started knitting and this vid has helped me a LOT!
yes, it works for me. I used my way when making a blanket this summer, in a knitting class I took, and it looked just like the teacher’s blanket. And she is not the one who taught me to knit
mine tightens up too
it also seems like its getting wider and wider and wider. i dont get it :/
I’ve been making scarves for a few years now that way, so i guess
Thanks for the video; its a great demonstration. My knit stitches don’t seem to come out as uniform as yours…practice practice practice as you say!
Practice, practice, practice and don’t give up. try needles size 6, 7 or 8 and a nice worsted yarn. good luck.
so glad I could help. thanks for writing. more videos coming soon.
thanks for writing and your nice comment. keep at it and watch for more videos coming soon.
Thank you I finally am able to knit
I love youtube and your tutorial =)
Haha, keep on trying, when I cast on, I just give a gentle tug. But even if it’s ugly, I think adding a fringe at the end, will cover it up a bit xD
