I agree – I never quite understood how to decrease before watching your video, and really need to see it done first before I truly understand written directions. Thanks for taking the time to pass on your skill – my sister lost her husband of 25 years and gained a new grandson in the same month. We were able to enjoy doing something positive and talking while learning to crochet something besides a potholder together! Thanks!
@kobblyness I appreciate the comment, thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to explain how it is done!! and for including the slow motion toe decrease video, I’d have been lost without that. I’ve never crochet until I came across your videos and now I have one bootie it’s a little large because I used bigger yarn and a slightly larger hook, butI’m happy with it. And best of all I can say I did it myself!!!!
You are welcome.
Thank you so much!!! You helped me make my First Bootie! I’ve tried other videos, but they just didn’t work out for me. Thank You!!!
Thank you for the comment.
i love the bootie you made for the children you’re such so good at heart…sharing this stuff to us….thank you very much….
Thank you! Wonderful tutorial.
The rest of the video is playing for me. Try clicking on the HQ and see if that will solve the issue.
HI Teresa, i have a little problem with the third part of the video , it’s not downloading the second half. is there anything i can do to watch the whole thing? i’m stuck after the 6th minute of the last part. help!
Came out great!! Thank you
i finished one of the booties. It wasnt hard at all. I used the same size hook as urs but my yarn was 4ply so my baby bootie was a bit bigger…now its not small enough for a new born and not big enough for a toddler.
But everything turned out good. i just have to make another one to match. haha.
Love your videos. I find myself spending hours by the computer just watching and practicing new crochet projects from you.
Hey again, Teresa!! I just did my very first baby bootie, and it didn’t come out too bad, except for a few odd open spaces here and there, because I think I joined in the wrong stitches in certain places, and had to keep joining yearn so I had extra tails that were probaby throwing me off too, but for the most part it came out pretty good. I used an H hook, and so it came out a little bigger, but it almost fits my foot. ! I’ll have to retry it tomorrow and hopefully it will be better!! Thanks!!
Thanks a ton this was awesome i just completed one of the booties.. hoping and wishing to learn them soon and make more for the poor kids here in India…waiting for more of yr videos.. God bless you !!! Thanks again
I would suggest lookin at Etsy and Ebay to see how much people are asking. Then you can decide how much you want to charge.
This is tooooooo cute!! Let’s say I wanted to sell these at a festival, how much should I charge? I was hoping to have enough items to sell at the Labor Day Festival this year, but I dont’, so I am going to do it next year. I’ve made some bright colored beach bags, small purses, scarves, and just recently did some baby hats. I figured I’d so some smaller things, and see how well they sell, and then maybe move onto bigger things. Hope to hear from you soon! Happy crocheting to you too!!!
excellent work. I can’t wait to try it out sometime, I’m just starting to crochet and are pretty good at beginner things, so once I’m good enough I’ll start these! Thanks! ^_^
Thank you.
God bless u thanks alot
Thank you. I appreciate the comment. I need to work on a pattern for gloves. If it is something that works I will share it.
That is great to hear. I have a page on Facebook if you want to share pictures.
thanks alot you are the best teacher i wish you tell us how we make gloves
i just completed my bootie, and it came out beautifully.
You can use smaller yarn. I used 3 ply yarn so if you used 4 ply yarn it may come out larger. It is also possible that you naturally crochet loose.
I was using a an F hook and my booty came out really big. How can I make it smaller? It looks like it would fit a 2 year old.
