wow! Cat you never cease to amaze me! i watched most of this video without blinking. i have struggled so with sock knitting! heels and holes and asymmetry and bad fit. others would have given up long ago. but i KNEW there just had to be a way! it’s only yarn after all. it must bend to my will.
you always share these tricks and tips that remind me of that. you are a genius! i aspire to be Insouciant with my sock knitting. can’t wait to try this.

I was imagining a cardigan knit button-band-to-button-band, basically… …with afterthought sleeves and shaping dictated by its wraparoundness
Knittersbookshelf(dot)com will ship my books to Europe at a very reasonable shipping cost and they give great service. I believe they charge much less for shipping than Amazon.
You’d have to knit the sweater sideways to insert the sleeves, because yarn unravels sideways. Although it would be interesting to try inserting sleeves horizontally.
What a neat idea. I hope the book become available in Europe soon.
I loved it….however when the birds started singing I almost went flying out of my chair to see what was in the back yard…we had just come in from filming our Humming bird…and this was a sound I hadnt heard in our back yard.
I’m german and I don’t want to wait a year until any german LYS carries the book – so I pre-ordered by amazon to get it ASAP.

You have a good eye! You’ll find in the book that it is only essential that the yarn at least go through each of the end sts at least once. The yarn goes through the st on the left twice, and on the right once – either way is fine.
Sorry about the loud birds – I am an amateur movie maker and until you told me this didn’t realize it was so! I shall be sure in the future if I use any background audio like that, to keep it lower. Thanks for your excellent feedback.
The video was great, till the birds. I had headphones on and they were loud! lol. At 5:51 where you show the 2 stitches that weren’t cut through on either side, there’s only 1 1/2 stitches on right, and 2 on the left. Is is supposed to be that way?
