I’m starting a knitting club at my school, and I want to be able to provide knitting needles and yarn for everyone in that club. I am assuming plastic needles are the cheapest. So can you please help me in finding where to get cheap needles and yarn if not online then a local store found everywhere in the US? Thanks for your help(:

Look up online, printable coupons for “JoAnn” and/or “Michael’s”. You should be able to find 40-50% off coupons for one item. Print a couple out and take a couple of friends shopping with you.
Sometimes I have luck with yarn at $ stores. Try your local swap meet or even hit some thrift stores. Yard sales are good too. Have fun!
Don’t get plastic needles, especially the cheap kind. They will bend and break, and then all the new knitters will be very discouraged.
A better idea is to require everyone to bring his or her own needles. An individual set isn’t that expensive.
Hobby Lobby has a decent house brand of yarn, called “I Love This Yarn”, which is inexpensive, but it’s of acceptable quality. I’m not too fond of “I Love This Cotton”, but the acrylic yarn is OK, and it comes in a wide variety of colors.
