Among my mother’s belongings found after she died was a small, handheld knitting and/or sewing machine. It has a foldable handle with the letters “ARS” on it. It has no other distinct markings that identify it. It has a large dial on top, 3 “switches” at the front, and a lot of other levers and small turning parts. Does anyone have any idea where I might get information about this machine? Thank you.

Try the Guild of Machine Knitters
Website;http://www.guild-mach-knit.org.uk/
try emailing machineknittingnews.co.uk with info as they may know something about it as the editor has been with the mag for a lot of years.
Try looking on ebay.com to see if there are any listings for knitting machines like the one you now have. You might also check with knitting groups to see if they would know something. Good luck.
