I have really pretty sparkly mohair yarn that I want to make something awesome with. I want to make something unique. NOT a scarf!!!! I don’t know how to use dpns. I can knit straight and sew though and I do have a pair of size I think 8 or 9 circulars that I’m really new to. Any ideas? I love finding those unique knitted things but most of the time they’re too complicated. I just want to make something special with this yarn. Any ideas?

Maybe you should try a basic shirt or skirt if you have enough yarn. What about a book cover or decorative pillow for your bed. You could also try a headband.
Good Luck!!
I just finished a gorgeous shawl made of a mohair type yarn. The shawl is very large (about 6′ end to end) but only weighs 20 ounces. It’s knitted in squares but you pick up stitches after the first one so there’s no sewing together at the end and the whole thing is done in garter stitch.
Because mohair type yarns are fuzzy and can be a bit scratchy, I wouldn’t use them for anything like a pillow.
try a rectangular shawl, stole or wrap. there are free patterns at lion brand yarn for their moonlight mohair yarn. you can at least get ideas there. use the circulars to knit short side back and forth. you make it like an extra wide scarf.
