Freepatterns.com is great. Also Lionbrand.com. Do a search and you will find many, many others as well. Have fun!
I am the same way. I like doing scarfs and projects that don’t take long. http://www.lionbrand.com is a great website for knitting projects. I use it all the time. Also if you go to http://www.michaels.com they have some projects.
There are a few different sights. The last one is updated often, the other two have many different patterns, and are rated for the experience level.
There are alot of good knitting sites a couple that I go to are: http://www.lionbrand.com , http://www.knitty.com < - ( Look in their archives ) or you could do searches for specific patterns . Good Luck & Happy Knitting!
For some cool vintage knitting projects and patterns try http://www.sewfunpatterns.com
There are a bunch of free patterns for clothes, bags and dolls and patterns that you can buy.
