I have a 10.5w x 7h patch of knitted yarn. At first I was going to make a wide scarf out of it, but that’s kind of boring and I have enough scarves as it is. So I was wondering if I could just get some tips as to what I should either turn it into or start from scratch and just unravel it. Also, if someone could recommend a good knitting pattern site, that’d be rad! Thanks!

I usually go to Bev’s Country Cottagehttp://www.bevscountrycottage.com/patter…
Also Lion Brand has a lot of patterns and they are ALL free now.http://www.lionbrand.com/cgi-bin/pattern…
I like Ravelry, though you have to be a member (it’s FREE) – you can search through their pattern index and even search for something with the yarn and needle you have. You can also see what other people have knitted with the same yarn – it’s a very awesome site.
I like http://www.garnstudio.com/index_lang.php , american and english written patterns, or Michael’s have lots of free patterns http://www.michaels.com/art/online/stati… or http://www.freepatterns.com/list.html?ca… or interweave knitting daily http://www.knittingdaily.com/. Or you could join Ravelry, it is great for advice too. As to the knitting you have done it is a bit hard to advise as there are no details on what yarn you are using, how much you have and your knitting ability. Any of the above sites will give you lots of ideas though. Have fun.
A good knitting site is knitty.com. I recommend you unravel and start over. If its not inspiring to you just quit and start again. It is hard to change patterns in mid knit and hope it will become something recognizable.
