We had a lil dispute earlier and now that we are all better, I think an activity to do, to build our relationship is in order. Do you think knitting is good or should we stay away from any sharp objects?
LMAO!
I think this is a wonderful idea BE – finger knitting would be safer I would think.
May I say something. I know you Americans lead the world in many things but please don’t get your hopes up too high to believe that you can match up to this traditional British pastime. We Brits lead the world in this field as you will see in this video taken from the current series of the world renown “Britain’s Got Talent”
Here you can see professional world champions in this sport, watch and learn.
Could you knit me a thong? I think that its swell you two have made up– I’ll be over shortly for the fitting.
edit: you’ll need a large roll or package or whatever it is yarn comes in….and I would like fire truck red with gold trim.
As disturbing as CMP’s x-ray skull pic was, what is even more disturbing is the one MHB put out with the actual man sock…why is it laying on a child’s crayola drawing? That is just wrong.
edit– yes Maggs…I have seen this little 15 year old throwing herself at him….perverse… she says she cannot swim without floaties…perhaps a boat trip is in order?
As Granny as it sounds, I crochet. I had started on a smoking bikini top for my daughter and haven’t gotten around to finishing it. I use iridescent beading while making it and it is beautiful. It is a dying art. Knitting is great, but, I have never really developed it with the few stitches I know. Crochet needles aren’t sharp like knitting needles and I would love to help you girls out with any thongs for what’s his name up there. Scoundy might need one, too. At least send pictures.
Every cloud has a silver lining:
Through your unfortunate falling out with your chum you may just, in turn, have fallen upon a bally good business plan, BE!
Ted and MHB have already put in orders, and you can be quite sure Hattie will want in on any knitted thong action going. So, all in all, I reckon you and your friend should get clicking those knitting needles as fast as your nimble fingers will allow. If I lay on the floor with my leg in the air you can wind your skeins of wool around my prosthetic pin.
I’m a great supporter of enterprise, Browny.
Well done!
My friend and I were thinking of taking up jail house tattooing as a manner of bonding… I guess that is about the same as knitting but much safer as the photo below shows, a knitting needle can be cause quite an injury… http://images.mirror.co.uk/upl/m4/dec2008/5/6/401A7269-D7B7-3F7B-6252D901B612678B.jpg see it is much tougher to tattoo someone to death
Needles aren’t THAT sharp for knitting. Especially if you use the larger needles like I do (15′s or so). It isn’t like you are going to draw blood with any of the sizes anyways. If you really feel the need to stay away from anything mildly sharp, then crocheting is always an option, as is looming.

Knitting sounds hot, maybe you and your friend can knit some thongs and hang with me at Cabo sometime.
I think we can knit a peace pipe or something. It would take plenty of time… but we could use the time together.

I think it’s a great idea. And like Ted, I hope you can knit something for me too.

I’ll be over for my fitting after Ted.
Yeah and knit me a pair of pants, I can use them to build up static electricity and become the most powerful man in the world.

If you are taking orders though I would like to order a boob cap for each of our friends on here:

They should go nicely with the man gloves…
Yes
Sounds suitable. Knitting is a mean sport. Over here bitching sessions are ‘taking over London like a radioactive Godzilla’

Remember: Sharp objects and guns are great friendship builders!
Where and how do you guys find all this stuff!
Knitting is the best craft EVER. You will learn a new skill and can help each other do well at it. There is no end to projects you could make.
