Yikes! There are literally dozens of both! My suggestion would be to go to a craft store or the library and see what magazines they have. Look through them to see which patterns and articles suit you. All of them will have a subscription card in the magazine or a website you can go to. There are even some online that send you emails on the latest stuff every day. One of those is knittingdaily.com
There are literally thousands of magazines with crochet and knitting patterns. The best source I have found is at Chapters. They sell magazines, and also in the craft section of the store, they sell books of patterns. After you decide on the magazine(s) you can then subscribe. I would suggest you subscribe online though, as most offer the best subscription prices online.
