I always wanted to try that so I am interested to see the answers that you get here.
go to lionbrand. com gees i just knit the continental way i wish i could show you. just hold one ot a time and use right hand for holding you working strand , then put it down and bring the next one under it before knitting with the new strand
and yes you can type in knitting into your browser too ther ae all kinds of sites you can get lessons for it
When you strand, you have to carry the yarn behind on the wrong side. I knit continental style. When I strand, I pull the yarn that I’m stranding with with my left middle finger so it stays close and keeps the right tension while I work with the other color. I hope this helps a little bit!
For Fair Isle knitting, I think the fastest and most consistent results are achieved using the 2 handed technique. You carry one yarn in one hand and the other in the other hand and you pick or throw as needed. It helps keep the yarn untangled as well.
The technique takes some practice, especially if you’re not used to holding yarn with your other hand. Although it’s going to feel funny in the beginning, it’s a great skill to learn.
Take a look at the video on the Philosophers Wool web site. You’ll need to make the appropriate adjustments since you knit left handed, but it shouldn’t be that difficult. Turn off your pop-up blocker before accessing the site.
