Just make sure you use the biggest guide you have and make sure the yarn is nice and loose (pull a bunch off the skein before you knit a row so it doesn’t get to tight). The needles may not be big enough to handle the size of the yarn either.
I have uses some “chunky” yarns and have had OK luck with them on my machine. Haven’t used my machine in a while… maybe I need to pull it back out again…. lol
Some brands of chunky yarn are just too chunky to use on the UKM, as I found out the hard way.
