You can if it wasn’t on sale.
You should be able to. If you have the receipt you should get your money back. If you don’t have the receipt you should be able to get store credit so you can get the right color. If it looks used or pulled out they might not accept it.
Depends on who is doing the transaction……. I know at our local store they don’t have a problem, as long as you have a reciept, it wasn’t on sale, and it wasn’t pulled. I tried to do an exchange at another store though about 30 mins away, and they told me that all yarn sales are final. I almost always just ask for a manager right off the bat there any more.
