Find a local yarn shop that has a knitting group. I am sure they would be glad to take it. Alot of times they knit projects for needy or sick children.
-You can donate it to Goodwill or another place that raises cash for charity by selling old stuff
-You can sell the contents in a garage sale
-A local retirement home would probably love to have it
-Schools often want yarn for arts and crafts projects
-Knitters who knit for charity apprecieate donations of yarn. You can ask your yarn shop and see who would like to have it for charity projects. Keep in mind that some organizations, such as warm woolies, will not accept acrylic yarn donations.
