Maybe you could work it in a round and hand stitch to the dress?
how could I adapt this to put it on the bottom of a baby dress?
what is the multiples for this pattern? thanks
Hi, I dont see the written instructions for this ripple variation pattern, I see the symbol instructions, is there a another place to look under your blog for the written instructions
Thanks
You can modify the size of the ripple.
Hi can I do this with 30 chains? Thanks
You are welcome.
thank you for making this video, it was very usefull.
many thanks from norway
If you are making a practice swatch, yes. You add 12 chains for each ripple you want to make.
I cant believe what i wrote didn’t post….I was asking about The multiple is 12 + 6. does that mean i will make 18 chains?
How?
Please Help
You are welcome.
This is so much more logical than the pattern I have, thank you again!
It is great to hear that it is working for you.
very good stich. i’m doing it right now as we speak and it’s turning out very good.
I love it! I’ve been trying to find a ripple pattern that was easier than making various types of knots in between – this only makes you learn/make one extra knot.
My grandmother made me a red/white/blue ripple when I was in elem. When I was in high school, I wanted her to make it larger – she lengthened it and made a larger boarder. Most of my Christmas day photos have me cuddled up with that one afghan. I still have the afghan – it’s about 27 years old. I am estatic!
Thanks so much
i went for the tie, knot, sew, on my loose ends. it’s working pretty well and you can’t tell i did it. i will take a picture when i am done and send it via Facebook. again thanks a million for the pattern i’m having so much fun! and for a beginner it makes me feel good that my squares are now taking the shape of actual things!
A ripple will not look right with a border. You can do a simple little edging if you needed to cover up sides.
I’m also lost here and the symbol chart doesn’t seem to help me figure it out either.
this is true, was just wondering if there was a way that they could be solid colors with no border
How the the color changes obvious? You can always do a single crochet edging over the edges, alternating colors each time you get to the color change.
That means the decreases are not being done on the sides if it is getting wider. I do have symbol instructions posted on my crochet blog which may be helpful for you to see the exact stitch placement. To the right or lower right of the video you will see “MORE INFO”. Click on that to expand the box and you will find the link.
yay! i finally found a cool pattern for a scarf, i want to ask you for advice. how do i make the color change not so obvious in the ends? i also learned color change from you thanx!!!
i tried doing this with two colors, and after about 20 rows or so, i noticed the sides of the blanket were becoming wider, sort of like a trapezoid. i ripped it out and tried again but still ended up with a trapezoid looking shape to what i intended to be a baby blanket. i wonder where i went wrong?
