This is great! I plan to start relearning this again. Your videos make it easy to understand. Thanks!
When you are working in rows, both sides can be used at the right side. When you are working in rounds, the side facing you is the front side of the stitch.
hi , i wanted to know how to recognize which side is right for single crochet stiches as i just started to practice SC help me. i m learning by your videos as you are very good teacher …i understand ur videos very easily thanks ….
I appreciate the comment, thank you.
When the edges are uneven that may be due to a stitch being missed or an extra stitch on the side. I suggest counting so the stitch count is even.
Thank you so much for this video! I am a beginner and i have started to make a scarf. The problem is that one side of the scarf is perfectly straight while the other side starts to get crooked. I keep having to do it over and its driving me crazy! What am i doing wrong? Can anyone help me? pleaaaaase ;_;
All of your videos are so great! I’ve been trying to learn and I just couldn’t pick it from the books I have, but your videos do the trick!!!
You will go through the top of each stitch below the “V” two loops that create the top part of the stitch. Make sure you count because it is easy to drop stitches.
so after the chain is complete and we go back over and do the single crochet do we just go into the very top or the top two parts to the chain
Thank you so much for this video; I have been having difficulty understanding how to do it but your video made it so simple to understand. Thanks so much!!
You are welcome.
I have been having problems trying to understand a crochet book and this finally cleared it up, thanks!
I am not sure what you mean by the back bump unless you are talking about the back loop. There are two loops at the top of the stitch. I like to go through both loops. I feel it makes it more secure and gives the piece a smoother finish. You can go through the back loop only, which will give it a texture. That way is correct as well as the front loop only. In the end, it does not matter and is more preference. Pick what technique you like the best.
Hi thanks for the vid I’ve been working from a book and it’s been confusing. The one question I have is that in the book she says to work the chain you use the back bump. I see that you go into a different part of the stitch. You mentioned there are different ways of crocheting but will these make different looking stitches? Does it matter?

You sure are young enough. Comment again if you need help.
I never thought that slowmotion crocheting could look so sensual. Nice sensitivity to the medium. I think I will try my hand at it. I’ve always wanted to learn and I’m still young enough at 46 years.
Cheers!
Thank you for the comment. Happy crocheting.
Love your videos! Reading a book is just not the same as seeing it done.
Thank you, I appreciate the comment.
I love these videos of yours. I’ve been trying to teach myself crochet from books, but without much success. Your videos have been extremely informative.
Thank you. Write any time if you need help finding another video.
