It just sounds like you are doing a puff stitch right next to another puff stitch.
I am making a hat that calls for 2Pstog. Can you explain how that is done? The directions say this “(yo,insert hook in st, draw up long lp) 3 times, yo and draw through 6 loop, (yo, insert hook in st, draw up long loop) 3imes, yo and draw through all loops on hook, ch1

Yes, you can alternate different stitches. I recently did a video showing other stitches mixed in with the puff stitch.
like do 3 rows of the puff stitch & then do the next 3 rows with another kind of stitch & then back to 3 rows of the puff stitch & so on? sorry if what i said doesn’t make any sense.. thanks

so i only took a glance at this video, as my stuff is not near me at the moment. but this weekend, when i have a chance, i am going to sit in front of this computer and watch these videos until i figure out how to do at least one cool stitch!!!! i only know basic rows of what i think are double chrochets… i am excited i found you! your mannerism IS very calm which will make this enjoyable instead of stressful! thanks so much – i have subscribed!!!

I do have at least two version of the star stitch. A star stitch hat and a small star stitch pouch.

Thanks for the video. I’m new to crochet and the book I’m using didn’t explain nearly as clearly as your video did. The sad part is, this was the only stitch I couldn’t figure out. Now I can actually go make my afgan!
