Thanks! I just made a beanie following your pattern and it turned out great!! I’m so excited! I’m going to use one of your flower patterns and sew it on with the needle! Thank you for answering

Hi Teresa! First off, I’d like to thank you. I greatly appreciate your video, it’s very easy to follow, the best one I’ve found! I’m about to start making a beanie of my own, however, I’d like my beanie to have a slouchy top, so when I wear it, it slouches a bit at the end. If I add increase stitches, would I achieve that?
@tjw1963 OMG!!!! It worked out eventually and guess what! I even managed to teach myself how to finish the edge with a scallop/shell stitch This adds a nice feminine touch to it. Super super happy… I think I just needed some patience I also found out that a 5.5mm in UK is the same as the I hook in US. Thanks again and I can’t wait to try your other hat – the shell one!!
@dziyah7 I suspect that you may be putting in to many increase stitches. You may want to count and compare your work to the written instructions posted on my crochet blog.
I just started today and mine is taking a while also! Teresa, can you tell us at what stage the funnel usually starts appearing? Thanks so much for this great video!
Hi – I am in the UK and the sizing of the hooks is different to the US! I am using a 5.5mm – do you have any idea what this is the equivalent of in terms of US hooks? Thanks for this video – I am up to round 6-7 and so excited!! My first crochet project!!!
Maybe I made a mistake when I started the continual round, but mine doesnt look like it has a start/stop to it. It this right or will I have to pull it back *a lot* ._.
I made a beanie using this video, and it came out perfect. Everyone compliments me on it. I only used 5 rows, because my wool was thicker and I used a thinker crochet needle, and it fits my head perfectly. I had to make this twice, the first one came out too big, second one perfect!!
Thanks so much for this tutorial! I’ve watched other tutorials that aren’t as clear or go way too fast. This was the first hat crocheting tutorial that really worked for me. Thank you!
lol im 13 ive crocheted since i was 11….. i tought my self out of a book my grandma got me … ive always wanted to crochet a beanie so thanks for teaching me

@susanann46 Good luck. I do have a few other caps posted that show brighter colors if you need help seeing the stitches.
Great video…I’m trying really hard to get this…I have never made a hat before..Thanks and wish me luck….

@Beenie108 I am using a tapestry needle. You can use any type of needle that your yarn will fit through.
Great video!! I have a question though, what kind of tool are you using to sew the hole together at the top of the beanie?
LOVE IT

@gellytz48 You can add another increase round. When it looks full enough for then continue with several more rows to make it slouchy.

Oh no… I am up to Round 12 or something and at the moment its looking like a beret – is this normal? Thanks for such a quick reply!!
@dziyah7 It usually starts around 3 rounds after the last increase round.

Thank you for sharing what worked for your. This will spark ideas for other people.
You will not have a start/stop other than the yarn marker when you start the continual round.

I think I will do that pattern instead of the one from my beginner’s crochet book. This is much easier.
Everytime I practice making rounds, they tend to curve into like a cup. How do I prevent that from happening? How do I make my rounds flat?
Thanks so much for this tutorial! I’ve watched other tutorials that aren’t as clear or go way too fast. This was the first hat crocheting tutorial that really worked for me.
Thank you!
