The eyes I used for this mouse are buttons. They do not have to be anything fancy. If you have old clothing that you are throwing away, you can recycle the buttons from old clothing.
There are two ways to work rounds. Typically you will join a round with a slip stitch to the beginning stitch. The alternative way is to work in a continual round. The “we won’t join” is done only one time. That is at the beginning of the first round, where you take the round off in to a continual round. The stitch is worked in the top of the stitch instead of joining.

Why do you go under two loops for each singe crochet?
It is supposed to be round, then get longer and look mouse/egg shaped.
