I bought a bunch of really thin crochet thread with the brilliant idea to knit it. Didn’t work out to well. Is it actually possible to Knit the thread.
If not is there anything else I can do with it besides crochet?

You could make Dream catchers or take several strands together to make thicker threads to make some friendship bracelets instead of using Embroidery thread.

You can always use macreme knots to make bracelets with crochet thread #10 or embroidery thread.

And yes you can knit with crochet thread. It’d just that the fine tread is sometimes too hard to use. Try to use thicker thread to knit with.
On HGTV’s “B.Original” she made wrapping paper using yarn, thread and other embellishments, ironed between either 2 pieces of waxed paper for a transparent look, or parchment paper (shiny side up) w/ waxed paper on top.
Basically, sandwich whatever you’d like between the 2 sheets, place a cotton towel or paper towels on top (to protect your iron), then iron (no steam) over the entire area and you get the most unique wrapping paper. The parchment paper gives a white background effect.
I’ve been thinking of even adding some crayon shavings for extra color….I was looking for the web-link, but no luck.
Of course, you could also make some friendship bracelets….have fun
It is possible to knit with thread, even though it’s annoying cause of the fine guage. Are you on ravelry.com They have some really neat features like finding knit projects by yarn type.

You could make string balls.
Using starch, soak the thread and then wrap it around an inflated balloon, preferably a small one, between 3 and 6 inches across. Allow to dry, remove the balloon, and then you can hang them (with or without lights) or leave them in a basket on a coffee table.
Crochet thread also works sometimes on needlepoint patterns. I also use it for mending or hemming thick fabric like jeans. Works for tieing newspapers together too, just like string.
