Pretty easy. Search YouTube, there are tons of videos. Also, visit Lion Brand Yarn’s site for tons of patterns and instructions. http://lionbrandyarn.com/
Well, my wife is totally blind and now that she has mastered knitting again after doing it 30-40 years ago, she is taking a class in crochet starting Friday so can only be medium tough. And obviously she is OLD Married 24 years tomorrow.
A pro to crocheting is that you can make your own scarves, sweaters, bags, jewelry, etc. It’s also a better way to spend your free time. It’s quite easy to learn actually, much easier than knitting. Here’s a good book, it’s what I used to learn to crochet, it has some really cute projects too.
The pros of crochet for me are that I have something I can take with me and do when I’m waiting in an office or have time to spare. I can make scarves, blankets, purses, whatever I want to. I hear it goes faster than knitting – I’m a horrible knitter, so of course that’s true for me anyway.
Learning is not hard. I learned when I was eight, and I’ve taught lots of my friends to do it. Once you learn the basic pull the yarn through with the hook, everything else is just a variation on that.
Some people can learn with pictures – I do okay with books. But a lot of people want to see real hands in action. There are lots of videos online. That’s where I would recommend you start. Then a book from a craft store could be your “cheat sheet” until it’s second nature.
There’s absolutely nothing difficult about it. Just google any search term on learning to crochet. You can learn it in 15 minutes or less, seriously, it’s about the easiest way of crafting out there.

Not hard….I learned when I was nine years old and haven’t quit yet. I have done it commercially for a fashion designer and made a living at it too.
