Check out Hobby Lobby’s web site, I just got several crochet patterns off their site.
As for animals and doilies, check out the knitting and crochet magazines at places like Barnes and Noble or your local drug or supermarket. Most magazines are no more than $5.99 and you get a variety of patterns to play with.
