I want to knit wristbands for my friends and include their names on it.
I was wondering if double knitting is stretchy cause I’ve never tried it.
Is there any great way to knit the letters?
Please help =(
I’m giving a crocheting workshop and was wondering what size hooks and what type of yarn to buy. Thank you! Please give a detailed explanation!
Preferably something quick and easy. I just started knitting and really want to make socks but first I have to learn how to knit in rounds. Any suggestions for an easy project? Thank you!
I am knitting a sweater and the edges are a but loose. Just wondering if there was an alternative. Thanks!
Ugh, I wish I had gone to knttinghelp.com before I made this sweater. Does anyone know of a way to tidy up the edge after the fact?
I am buying yarn for my grandmother to knit for my baby a sweater. I want it to be the softest, yummiest, non-itchy, beautiful yarn there is. I don’t mind spending a lot of money. Does anyone know what type of yarn is best? please be specific. I plan to order it on-line, so I don’t have the help of a salesperson or my sense of touch to guide me.

I know knitting has 2 needles, but I am just learning to crochet, are the similar enough where I could easily pick up knitting?
also, if I found a knitting pattern I like, could I “convert” it to a crochet pattern?
I’m going to be visiting NYC in mid December and want to check out some cool yarn shops or needlework shops, fabric stores or craft shops would be OK too.
I’m staying in Mid-town. Any suggestions? I hate going home and finding out that I was 2 blocks from the coolest store!
Thanks for any advice you’ve got!
I just started knitting about three weeks ago and I was wondering if/why I need to learn to purl. I have made plenty of scarves and I want to start knitting a blanket by knitting squares and then sewing them together. Also, what would be the best size needles to use for this project?
I can do the knit stitch fine and the purl stitch just as well. Yet when I attempt to do something where I knit 1, purl1, I always get a mess. The stitches end up all crooked on the needle, sometimes a few are crossed, or hooked together. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, but I am pretty sure it must have something to do with moving the yarn from front to back.
Tips?
